CORVALLIS -- Less than 24 hours after Oregon State survived an upset scare from No. 15 seed Long Beach State, Gabby Hanson was candid about her team's first-round performance.
"Obviously, we took a big hit," the Beavers' senior guard said. " ... Hopefully that warmed everyone up a little bit. I think that was a big wake-up call."
Up next for the Beavers is No. 7 seed Creighton, a Big East squad that was ranked in the top 25 of the Associated Press poll in late February. Beat the Bluejays, and OSU advances to the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive season.
