LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Sophomore Taylor Lemmond scored her first goal of the season, but the Oregon State women's soccer team was unable to upset the top-ranked team in the nation, as No. 1 UCLA took a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.
Lemmond's goal came in the 76th minute, when the forward fired a shot past the keeper from the top of the 18-yard box. Emma Jones and Natalie Higgins were both credited with assists on the score.
The Bruins jumped in front early on, converting from close range less than two minutes in.
