Lavaka, who was named a Freshman All-American last week by Campus Insiders, added to his accolades on Monday.
Oregon State true freshman Gus Lavaka garnered his second Freshman All-American award Monday, when Pro Football Focus announced its Freshman All-America team.
Lavaka, who stepped into the lineup at left guard in the season's fourth game due to injury, helped solidify the Beavers offensive line for the remainder of the season. He went on to start seven of the final eight games of the season, missing the UCLA game due to his own injury.
Pro Football Focus has this to say about Lavaka (and Stanford offensive guard Nate Herbig, who was the other selection): "Two monster Pac-12 guards led the way among true freshmen this season as Lavaka graded at 73.
