PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – fired an even-par 71 to lead the Oregon State men's golf team in the opening round of the Saint Mary's Invitational on Monday.
Hara, a sophomore from Honolulu, Hawai'i, dropped in five birdies at the par-71, 7,002-yard Poppy Hills Golf Course to shoot a 71 and sit in a tie for 16th place. His best career finish is a tie for sixth place at last year's Alister MacKenzie Invitational.
"Kyosuke played solidly," Oregon State head coach said. "It was really good to see him bounce back after a couple of tough holes.
