SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon State setter Kylee McLaughlin has been named as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the second week in a row, the conference announced on Monday. It is McLaughlin's third award of the season.
McLaughlin, who is studying biology, directed a diverse attack for the Beavers' offense leading her squad to a weekend sweep of the Washington schools, including a five-set thriller over the then-No. 10 Huskies. McLaughlin was effective spreading the offense around with four different OSU players recording double-digit kills and added a career-high six kills of her own against the Huskies.
