CORVALLIS -- This time last year, Kyle White felt lost while trying to play basic man coverage.
This past Saturday, he knocked away a pass intended for Jordan Villamin in the end zone during Oregon State's scrimmage.
Injuries to OSU's cornerback group have given White increased opportunities for meaningful snaps throughout camp. And coach Gary Andersen said White, a converted running back, is now legitimately challenging for playing time as a senior.
"Kyle White is a tremendous story of a young man who has just dug in and fought like crazy every single day," Andersen said.
