Throughout the offseason, The Oregonian/OregonLive will be sitting down with each Oregon State assistant coach, where they will recap the 2016 season and look ahead to spring football and beyond.
First up is defensive coordinator Kevin Clune, who just completed his first season spearheading a Beavers defense that improved after a largely disastrous 2015.
About a month removed from the season, what were your biggest overall takeaways?
There's a lot of good and a lot of bad. We got better in almost every category. Our run defense wasn't good enough, but for the most part in the categories that matter (we got better).
