Oregon State has officially announced that Kevin Clune has been hired as the Beavers' new defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach.
Clune, who spent last season as Utah State's defensive coordinator, has deep ties to Beavers coach Gary Andersen, working under him at Utah State, Southern Utah and Utah.
The release also announces the defensive staff shifts reported by The Oregonian/OregonLive Wednesday, including Chad Kauha'aha'a as outside linebackers coach and associate head coach, Derrick Odum as safeties coach and Andersen himself as defensive line coach. The release does not include Cory Hall's official hiring, stating "a cornerbacks coach is expected to be formally announced in the near future.
