Kerkvliet’s Ace Highlights Second Round

EL DORADO, Ark. Tom Kerkvliet made a hole-in-one at the Duck Commander Intercollegiate on Monday to highlight the second round for the Oregon State men's golf team.

Kerkvliet, a sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, used a 9-iron on the par-3, 158-yard 12th hole for the ace, which propelled him to a career-best 1-over 73.

The Beavers played much better in the middle round and moved one spot up the 10-team leaderboard into fifth place with a 25-over 305-296--601 at the par-72, 7,064-yard Mystic Creek Golf Club.
