Oregon State Beavers football coach Gary Andersen is a firm believer that a few quality players slip through the Signing Day cracks every year, so he likes to leave a spot or two open for a little wiggle room.
In the class of 2017, he left a scholarship available believing he could snag a potential impact offensive lineman after college football's unofficial recruiting holiday.
On Tuesday, months after the Signing Day fireworks had died down, he delivered, as Riverside C.C. offensive lineman Keli'i Montibon announced his commitment to Oregon State over offers from Central Florida, Florida Atlantic, Houston, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and others:

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman, who has four years to play three, decided it was finally time to announce his decision following a visit to campus over the weekend.
