Kara Hallock advances to NCAA Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State heptathlete Kara Hallock has qualified for the NCAA Championships, scheduled for June 9-10 at Hayward Field in Eugene.

A senior from Lebanon High School via Lane Community College, Hallock is seeded 22nd in the 24-women field with a score of 5,551 points. He posted that score while taking second place at the Pacific-12 Conference heptathlon championships at the Whyte Track & Field Center on May 6-7.

"This is a tremendous accomplishment by Kara and we are very happy for her, and proud of her," OSU multi-events coach Eric Schueffner said.
