The Oregon State Beavers men's basketball program has had a stellar weekend, beginning with a 76-64 victory over the rival Oregon Ducks.
But that wasn't the only good news for Wayne Tinkle and his basketball program.
On Saturday afternoon, Oregon State added a key commitment from class of 2019 shooting guard Julien Franklin, out of Villa Park, California.
The 6-foot-4, 160-pound guard, who is on an official visit to Corvallis this weekend, chose the Beavers over early offers from New Mexico, Pepperdine and UTEP, as well as interest from Arizona and Stanford:

For the dynamic scorer, watching Oregon State's rivalry win in person, and experiencing the environment of Gill Coliseum for a big contest, made it the perfect time to commit.
