NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – Jonas Liebich fired a career-best 5-under 67 in the second round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club on Monday to lead the Oregon State men’s golf team.
Liebich, a sophomore from Ingolstadt, Germany, had six birdies and one bogey at the par-72, 7,015-yard Witch Hollow Golf Course to vault 33 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 28th place with a 2-under 74-67--141.
His previous best score as a collegian was a 1-under 69 at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate last season.
