Former Oregon State basketball star Jared Cunningham is getting the opportunity to catch on with the defending Eastern Conference champions and the team that originally drafted him.
Cunningham, 24, has signed a training camp contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. RealGM first reported the news Sunday and ProBasketballTalk wrote that Cunningham signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal.
The athletic 6-foot-4 Oakland native was once a first team All-Pac-12 wing but has had trouble catching on with an NBA roster since leaving the Beavers.
The Cavaliers made Cunningham the 24th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, but he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks that same night.
