Under new coach Jonathan Smith, the Oregon State Beavers football program is still trying to sort out its exact needs for the 2019 recruiting cycle.
Regardless of the numbers, however, Smith and his coaching staff know they need playmakers who can make an immediate impact.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Beavers took a step forward in that aim, offering a scholarship to 247Sports three-star athlete Jamaal Bell, the nation's No. 4 all-purpose back:
