SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon State freshman Jake Mulholland has been named the Pac-12 Conference's Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
The left-hander from Snohomish, Wash., contributed greatly in three of the Beavers' four wins, going 2-0 with a 1.68 earned run average and one save. He struck out nine in 10 2/3 innings, scattering five hits.
He started the week with 2 1/3 scoreless innings against Portland, picking up the save in OSU's 4-3 win after striking out five. Mulholland earned his third win of the season in the opener Friday against Utah after 1 2/3 innings of relief, striking out two.
