Here are my three takeaways from the weekend in college football ...
-- USC is really good. The Trojans showed no obvious weaknesses while beating Washington before a sold-out crowd in Husky Stadium.
I know USC started the season 1-3, but that was then. With quarterback Sam Darnold slicing and dicing and the Trojans' defense locking down, this is the best USC team since Pete Carroll left town.
-- I don't know how the Oregon Ducks pull out of their current nose dive. A program that played for the national title just two years ago is 3-7, with the seven losses coming in Oregon's last eight games.
