It’s A Sweep: Beavers Win Sunday

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Luke Heimlich held Central Arkansas scoreboard in a career-long 7 2/3 inning start Sunday to send the seventh-ranked Oregon State baseball team to a sweep of the Bears with a 7-1 win at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

Heimlich scattered four hits and tied a career-high seven strikeouts for his fourth victory of the season.

The outing was the left-hander’s fourth quality start of the year. Three of his four wins have come in his four starts, and he’s allowed just 16 hits and three walks in 27 1/3 innings when opening a game on the hill.
