The Oregon State Beavers have landed a pair of commitments this week in 247Sports three-star running back Kase Rogers and coveted California tight end Isaiah Smalls.
On Thursday morning, Smalls discussed his commitment in detail, explaining that one major factor stuck out when he chose the Beavers over fellow finalists Arizona, Arizona State, Fresno State and Purdue.
"It was pretty much the consistency with the whole coaching staff," he said. "They never took their foot off the pedal when they were recruiting me. Their whole staff was recruiting me. They showed I was their guy."
Although the 6-foot-4, 234-pound pass-catcher, out of Dorsey High School (Los Angeles, California), was recruited by the entire staff, three central figures stuck out in his recruitment.
