CORVALLIS — When Oregon State offensive linemen arrive on campus, position coach T.J. Woods hands them a 100-page manual filled with details on how to master the position in the Beavers' spread offense.
"It's a whole language," Woods said. "It has to be second-nature for you."
The list of players relied on to execute that language has been long this spring, thanks to a multitude of injuries ranging from severe to minor. The bad part of that situation is that the projected first unit could not build chemistry over the 15 workouts.
The good part? The unit built some depth.
