SURPRISE, Ariz. – Logan Ice homered and tripled in an eight-run fifth inning as the fifth-ranked Oregon State baseball team defeated Utah, 10-2, Monday in non-conference action at Surprise Stadium.
Ice put the Beavers on the board with his first home run of the season, then, in his second at bat of the inning – Oregon State sent 12 to the plate – he cleared the bases with a triple that landed near the base of the fence in right center.
The Beavers (3-1 overall) rapped out 15 hits in the win, with seven coming during the eight-run fifth.
