CORVALLIS, Ore. – Catcher Logan Ice and right-handed pitcher Bryce Fehmel picked up a pair of midseason honors on Wednesday.
Ice was added to the Golden Spikes Award Watch List; the honor is given to the top amateur baseball player each season.
Fehmel, meanwhile, was tabbed to the College Baseball Hall of Fame’s initial watch list for the 2016 National Pitcher of the Year award.
Ice is batting a team-leading .371 this season, and he also leads the Beavers with six home runs. The junior’s 30 runs batted in are second on the club, and he’s tied for second with eight doubles.
