CORVALLIS — Conor Blount felt one Utah defender hit him low and another high, twisting his knee as his leg stuck in the ground.
"It hurt like crazy," the Oregon State freshman quarterback recalls a few weeks later. Some who watched the play unfold on TV told Blount they thought the injury looked much worse than it turned out to be. Because now Blount has returned fully to practice, putting the Beavers in position to prepare both him and current starter Marcus McMaryion to play Saturday night at UCLA in the latest development of this season's quarterback saga.
