INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The best season in Oregon State women’s basketball history came to a close on Sunday when the Beavers fell to No. 1 UConn, 80-51, in the NCAA Tournament semifinals.
The Beavers won a program record 32 games, reached the Final Four for the first time, won the Pac-12 regular-season title for the second straight season and claimed their first Pac-12 Tournament title.
This was Oregon State’s third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and eighth in program history. OSU ended the regular season No. 6 in the Associated Press and WBCA/USA Today Coaches’ polls, its highest ranking in program history.
