Herman 'Buddy' Clark a finalist for Polynesian Football Hall of Fame: Oregon State rundown

Former Oregon State offensive linemen Herman "Buddy" Clark is one of 18 finalists for induction into the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame, the organization announced Tuesday.

Clark, a Honolulu native who played at OSU from 1949-51, was an All-Pacific Coast honoree in 1951 and was elected to the OSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 1990 and to the Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. He was also an All-Pro guard for the Chicago Bears in 1955 and 1956.

The finalists were selected from a field of more than 200 nominees by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
