CORVALLIS, Ore. – Luke Heimlich struck out a career-best 12 and the Oregon State offense tallied 13 hits to send the top-ranked Beavers to an 8-0 win over California in front of 3,423 Friday night at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
The win pushed Oregon State to 36-4 overall in 2017, and 19-3 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Beavers have won seven of their eight conference series openers and will be going for another Pac-12 series win on Saturday. OSU has won nine straight conference series dating back to 2016.
The 3,423 in attendance marked a regular-season attendance record during the Goss Stadium era, surpassing the previous best of 3,420 last weekend against USC.
