Harrison Places 32nd in 500 at NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – Senior Sammy Harrison of the Oregon State swimming team opened competition at the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming Championships with a 32nd-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle on Thursday from the McAuley Aquatic Center.

Harrison registered her 32nd-place finish among the field of 68 swimmers with a time of 4:43.81, marking the fourth-fastest time in school history. The Henderson, Nev. native now owns five of the top-10 times in the event in school history, with four of those times coming this season. Harrison owns a top time of 4:41.85 this season, and set the program record with a time of 4:39.
