TORONTO – Oregon State players Ruth Hamblin and Jamie Weisner have both been named among the 24 players invited to attend Team Canada’s Women’s National Team Phase 1 Camp, as the selection process for the 2016 Olympics begins.
The Phase 1 Camp will run from May 21-30 at the Saville Community Centre in Edmonton. At the conclusion of the camp, a squad will be nominated to head to Spain and France for a five-game exhibition tour.
Canada will re-group on June 28th in Edmonton for the second phase of training, where they will host China for the Edmonton Grads International Classic (EGIC) from July 9th-11th at the Saville Centre in Edmonton, AB.
