CORVALLIS – Oregon State senior Ruth Hamblin received a prestigious honor as a well-rounded student athlete on Friday, as she was named a Senior CLASS Award First Team All-American.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Hamblin is one of five players in the nation to earn Senior CLASS Award First Team All-America recognition.
Hamblin has posted a 3.85 GPA as a Mechanical Engineering major, and finished up her undergraduate coursework at the end of winter quarter, completing her degree in less than four years.
