The Oregon State Beavers hosted 247Sports three-star outside linebacker/strong safety Halid Djibril last week, and it seemed they were in the mix to land his services.
However, on Wednesday morning, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound safety, out of Cathedral High School (Los Angeles, California), announced his commitment to Washington State over fellow finalists Oregon State, USC and Utah:

Djibril's decision was the lone bit of bad news in an otherwise positive showing for Oregon State.
The Beavers signed all 11 of their current commits on the first day of the early signing period, securing a nucleus around which new coach Jonathan Smith can build.
