SALT LAKE CITY – Cadyn Grenier tied a career-high with three hits, including a solo home run, but the Oregon State baseball team dropped an 11-8 decision to Utah in the series finale Saturday afternoon at Smith's Ballpark.
Oregon State mounted a late rally, scoring three runs in the ninth with two down via a single by Adley Rutschman and double by Trevor Larnach. The tying run, however, was on deck when the game ended.
The Beavers dropped to 21-4 on the year, including a 6-3 mark in Pac-12 Conference play.
