Gonzaga beats BYU in WCC Tournament to keep NCAA Tournament hopes alive

The West Coast Conference Tournament semifinals just wrapped up in Las Vegas, and Gonzaga's NCAA Tournament hopes are still alive. Led by 29 points from former Jesuit star Kyle Wiltjer the Zags beat BYU 88-84 to advance to Tuesday's championship game (6 p.m. PT, ESPN).

The Zags (25-7) will face Saint Mary's in the title game with an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament on the line.

Entering Monday's games, ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi had Saint Mary's in the field of 68 as a No. 11 seed in the South region. For the first time 17 years, Lunardi had Gonzaga on the outside of the tourney as one of his first four teams out.
