McJunkin is in her first season with the Beavers after transferring from Palomar College.
Over the next several weeks leading up to the Oregon State softball season opener, we will feature a new member of the softball team. Katy McJunkin is a junior catcher from Visalia, California and is majoring in human development and family sciences.
Why did you choose Oregon State?
I chose Oregon State because of the beautiful campus, the coaches and the family environment.
What do you enjoy about your major?
What I enjoy about my major is its giving me the opportunity to help kids in their lives.
