The first time Georgia played Notre Dame, the stakes were high and the Bulldogs prevailed in a 17-10 win at the 1981 Sugar Bowl.
They meet again on Saturday, when No. 15 Georgia travels to take on No. 24 Notre Dame in a with less at stake but with more pressure on each team in a game that can be a springboard to success in the young season.
The Bulldogs will go with true freshman Jake Fromm, who will make his first start in place of veteran Jacob Eason, who went out with a sprained knee early in Georgia's 31-10 win against Appalachian State last week.
