Last night was the series finale of the NBA regular-season. Game 82, for most teams is usually meaningless in terms of post-season impact. This season has been a bit more eventful than most as the Timberwolves and Nuggets duked it out in a winner-take-all game. Also Portland, Utah, San Antonio, New Orleans etc. all played games with postseason seeding implications.
In the Staples Center Wednesday evening, the Lakers and Clippers matched-up in a game with zero postseason implications due to both teams already being eliminated from playoff contention. Don’t tell the Lakers it was a meaningless game though as Josh Hart (who dropped 30 last night) said, “We all want each other to succeed.
