CORVALLIS — Gary Andersen was encouraged by his Oregon State team's second-half response against Boise State, after the Beavers fell behind by by 24 points at the break.
But he's also sick of talking about anything resembling a moral victory. And he told the Beavers that in their most recent team meeting.
"There is no more attaboys and, 'Go play real hard,'" Andersen said Monday during his weekly press conference. "All those things, quite frankly, it wears me out. It's probably wearing you (the media) out. It's probably wearing everybody out.
"And I hope it wears the kids out, because I'm not gonna talk to them about that stuff anymore.
