Oregon State kicker Garrett Owens plans to transfer for his final season of eligibility, he confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive Sunday.
Owens, who was honored with the Beavers seniors before Saturday's Civil War win despite being classified as a junior, had held various kicking duties for the Beavers for the better part of three seasons but had only kicked extra points in OSU's last three games. Jordan Choukair replaced Owens on field goals prior to the Beavers' game against UCLA on Nov. 12, after Owens went through a four-game stretch where he missed 5 of 7 attempts.
