Oregon State's special teams have been strong overall this season, with Victor Bolden ranking in the top 10 nationally in kickoff return yardage (including a 99-yard touchdown against Boise State), punter Nick Porebski averaging 41.9 yards per punt with 11 of 29 downed inside the 20 and the Beavers tied for 30th nationally in punt return average allowed (3.71 yards per return).
But kicker Garrett Owens is also having a quietly impressive season, going 8 of 10 on field-goal attempts so far and moving into eighth all-time in school history with 30 career makes. This Saturday against Utah, the junior could match or pass Kieron Walford, who connected on 32 field goals during his career from 1976-79.
