Oregon State held its first scrimmage of fall camp Friday night at Reser Stadium. The “Family Fun Night” showcased some of the exciting talent and newcomers on Oregon State’s roster.
Darrel Garretson threw for 95 yards on 10-of-16 passing. He also scampered for a 5 yard touchdown run. Garretson led the first team on a 70-yard scoring drive that included a 41-yard bomb to wide receiver Jordan Villamin. Garretson looked poised and confident in his role as leader of the offense, which is a great sign for Oregon State’s offense.
Overall the offense managed three scores on the night; the first being Garretson’s 5 yard run, then Paul Lucas pulled off a 10 yard touchdown run and finally true freshman Art Pierce punched in a 3 yard run for a score.
