SEATTLE, Wash. / ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Senior Mari Friedman surpassed Oregon State's 800-meter record, which has stood for 43 years, on Saturday. Friedman's record-breaking performance capped the day's action as the Beavers wrapped up competition at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. and the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. In total, the Beavers broke two school records and tallied seven top-10 finishes over the weekend.
