CORVALLIS - Once regarded as one of the fastest players on the Oregon State football roster, former running back Paul Lucas has found a landing spot in a new sport.
Lucas, who announced his decision to transfer in December, is transferring to Arizona State to join the Sun Devils' track and field program. Jeff Metcalfe of The Arizona Republic reported the move and Lucas' Twitter bio reflects his decision, although he has not yet been added to the team roster page.
Since Oregon State does not have a men's track and field program, Lucas will be eligible to compete immediately at ASU.
