JaQuori McLaughlin appears to have found a new team.
The former Oregon State men's basketball point guard intends to play at UC Santa Barbara, according to an OSU team source.
Neither McLaughlin nor his father responded to request for comment, although McLaughlin's Twitter bio now includes the words "UCSB Gaucho." McLaughlin is not currently enrolled at UC Santa Barbara, according to the school's directory.
The sophomore was granted his release from Oregon State this season after six games. The former four-star recruit from Gig Harbor, Washington, played 33.8 minutes per game as a freshman for a five-win team with little depth, averaging 10.
