Per a report by Mike Singer of Beavers Edge, former Nebraska recruit Avery Roberts has decided to transfer to Oregon State. Roberts is an Inside Linebacker, and will sit out a season as a redshirt and play next year.
Roberts was a Mike Riley recruit at Nebraska, and will reunite with Linebackers Coach Trent Bray, who coached the same position for the Huskers.
Roberts was one of Riley’s highest rated recruits during his time in Lincoln, but appears to have clashed with the new coaching staff. In his Freshman season, he had four tackles.
