CORVALLIS, Ore. – Five members of the Oregon State wrestling team earned preseason Top-20 rankings from the InterMat website on Tuesday. The team was ranked No. 14 in the dual-meet pool, and No. 15 in the tournament rankings.
Junior All-American heavyweight Amarveer Dhesi, who took fifth place at the 2016 NCAA Championships with a 5-2 record, earned the highest ranking, No. 4. Dhesi was 32-5 last season, was the Pacific-12 Conference Wrestler of the Year and earned the Most Outstanding Wrestler award at the Pac-12 tournament while winning his weight class.
Dhesi, who will also compete in the World University Championships in Corum, Turkey, on Oct.
