CORVALLIS, Ore. – Bryce Fehmel threw his first career complete game and Nick Madrigal went 2-for-4 with a home run as Oregon State defeated UCLA, 3-0, to claim the series over the Bruins Saturday in front of 3,258 fans at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
Fehmel struck out two, walked one and scattered five hits as the Beavers shut out UCLA for the second consecutive game. The Bruins were 1-for-11 with runners on, 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and 1-for-10 with two outs.
The freshman picked up his Pac-12 Conference leading 10th win of the season.
