Derek Anderson posted a possibly telling tweet indicating his days with the Carolina Panthers are over and his NFL career may have come to an end.
Told the kiddos there might not be any football for daddy this year.. #devastated

The free agent quarterback and former Oregon State star had been with the Panthers for the past seven seasons, but the Panthers apparently aren't interested in re-signing Anderson as their backup quarterback. Carolina coach Ron Rivera indicated he'll choose the backup quarterback from the players currently on the roster.
