Derek Anderson has had more time to prepare himself.
The Buffalo Bills backup quarterback will start for the second consecutive game when the Bills face the New England Patriots tonight.
The former Oregon State star has had nearly three weeks of practices, film study and working with the coaches and teammates to get ready for the Patriots. That's far more time than he had to prepare for his first start against the Indianapolis Colts. Anderson faced the Colts just 12 days after signing with the team.
Anderson, 35, was named the starter after rookie Josh Allen suffered damage to his ulnar collateral ligament in his right (throwing) elbow during the loss to the Houston Texans in Week 6.
