Ex-Oregon State safety Jordan Poyer leading Buffalo Bills defensive resurgence

is leading a revival of the defense and being mentioned as one of the best free agent signings in 2017.

The former Oregon State star is tied for the team lead in sacks with two, is third in tackles with 14 and has one of the team's two interceptions. Poyer six passes defended is second in the NFL and he posted 11 tackles (seven solo), one sack and three passes defensed in the 9-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.

Poyer's play during the first two weeks prompted Pro Football Focus to select him as the league's highest-graded safety after the first two weeks of the season.
