Jacquizz Rodgers says he's ready for the regular season to begin.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former Oregon State star running back is expected to start in at least the first three games of the regular season. Doug Martin will miss the first three games of the regular season while serving a suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
"I'm ready," Rodgers told buccaneers.com. "I prepared all offseason for this situation. I'm going to try and take full advantage of it."
Rodgers, 27, logged his most extensive playing time of the preseason during the Buccaneers game against Cleveland Saturday.
