Sean Mannion says he feels more comfortable on the field in 2016 after a year of NFL experience.
The Los Angeles Rams and former Oregon State quarterback will get an opportunity to show how much he has learned as he competes for the backup spots during training camp.
Mannion, the Rams third-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, will be competing with three other quarterbacks for the backup and third-string spots. Jared Goff, the No. 1 pick of the 2016 draft, is expected to start. The Rams carried three quarterbacks during the 2015 season, leaving Mannion, Nick Foles, Case Keenum and Dylan Thompson in competition.
